Popcorn Recipes - Low-Fat Popcorn

This delicious snack can be prepared in lots of different ways. Whether your passion is gourmet popcorn, using popped corn as an ingredient in cookies and other desserts, or maybe you prefer it the old-fashioned way - with butter and salt. Popcorn and movies naturally go together so cook up a big batch and enjoy.

Low-Fat Popcorn

Fill a spray bottle with lemon juice. (Choose one that sprays a very fine mist) Spray your bowl of popcorn with the lemon juice, then sprinkle your favorite spices on the popcorn while the lemon juice is still wet, so that the spices will stick.

Mix the popcorn, and repeat as many times as you want. I like to use chili powder, garlic powder, cayenne pepper (if you're brave!), etc. You can find many pre-mixed spice combinations in the spice section at the grocery store that are also perfect for this sort of thing.

Also, you can vary the juice you spray onto the popcorn. For example, try lime juice. Or try adding some Louisiana Hot sauce to the juice. I wouldn't recommend putting the spices in with the juice, though, as they probably would clog it.
