Spooky Halloween Spider
Wind black yarn around a small square piece of
cardboard until it's really heavily covered; tie it off and remove the
cardboard.
Insert four pipe cleaners having the legs come out
on either side of the body; bend the pipe cleaners to form the legs. Glue on a
pair of red button eyes.
Suspend the spider in an area where people are sure
to walk into it. Hang it with a color of thread that is not easily noticed.

Halloween Cookie Jars
Use an old cookie jar or buy a cheap one at a
thriftshop.
Draw and color small halloween type pictures
(ghosts, pumpkins, black cats, etc.) using construction paper and glue them on
the cookie jar; stick on halloween stickers.
Make a batch of your favorite cookies and cut them
out using halloween cookie cutters.

Halloween Chain
Cut orange and black strips of paper to any size you
desire.
Form a circle with the black strip and staple the
ends together. Loop an orange strip through the black loop and staple the ends
together. Continue on next using the black strip and then the orange, etc.
Hang the chain in a window, against the wall or
mantle, etc.

Spooky Halloween People
Have a parent peel some apples but don't core them.
Then have the adult carve out the eyes, nose, mouth, and ears using a sharp
paring knife.
Let the apples dry in a warm, dry place until they
become shriveled and dried.
Paste on buttons for the eyes (or use googly eyes).
Use different colors of wool for the hair and eyebrows, glue on short stands of
wool for a mustache or beard, etc.
Use your imagination to create some spooky halloween
heads.

- Assorted candies
- Red Licorice Whips
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Slice cookie dough into 8 slices. Pat each slice

the cookie to form a small "jutting out" at the bottom of each
balloon (to resemble the area where the balloon is normally blown up and tied
off from).
Place 2" apart on ungreased cookie sheets.
Bake for 10-12 minutes or until lightly browned.
Remove from cookie sheets. Cool completely on wire racks.
Spread coolwhip evenly over each cookie. Decorate
with halloween candies or pipe frosting on the balloons in the form of
halloween shapes or draw halloween pictures).
Arrange decorated cookies on large serving tray to
resemble a bunch of balloons. Place a piece of licorice at the bottom of each
cookie to resemble the string. Tie all the balloon strings together with the
additional licorice.
