Christmas Recipes using Bisquick

Bisquick Cranberry-Apple Cobbler, Easy Chocolate Chip Cookies (Bisquick ), Impossible Turkey & Stuffing Pie (Bisquick), Easy Bisquick Coffee Cake, Spiced Bisquick Walnut Cake, Three-Cheese Biscuits (Bisquick), Impossible Bisquick Pumpkin Pie, and Glaze Lemon Squares (Bisquick)

 

Bisquick Cranberry-Apple Cobbler

    1/3 c  Butter
  2 1/2 c  Bisquick
      1 c  Sugar
  1 1/2 c  Milk
      1 c  Whole berry cranberry sauce
      1 c  Chunky applesauce
      1    Apple; cored & thinly sliced
 
Heat oven to 350F.

Heat butter in 9 x 13 pan in oven until melted.
 
Mix bisquick, sugar and milk with wire whisk until smooth. Pour bisquick batter evenly into pan.

Mix cranberry sauce and applesauce. Spoon evenly over bisquick batter. Place apple slices on sauce.

Bake 50 to 60 minutes or until golden brown.

Serve warm with whipped cream or rum raisin or vanilla ice cream, if desired.

Easy Chocolate Chip Cookies (Bisquick )

    3/4 c  Butter (soft)
      1 lb Brown sugar
      3 ea Eggs
      4 c  Bisquick
      1 c  Chopped nuts
     12 oz Chocolate chips
 
Heat oven to 375 degrees.

Mix well butter, brown sugar and eggs; stir in bisquick, nuts and chocolate chips.

Drop with teaspoon 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet.

Bake about 10 minutes until light brown.

Recipe yields about 4 dozen cookies.

Impossible Turkey & Stuffing Pie (Bisquick)

      2 c  Turkey; cooked;diced
    1/2 ts Seasoned salt
      1 c  Prepared turkey stuffing
    1/4 c  Green onions; w/tops,sliced
    1/2 c  Green peas; cooked
      1 c  Milk
      2    Eggs
    1/2 c  Bisquick
 
Heat oven to 400 degrees.

Grease a 9" pie plate.

Arrange turkey in plate; sprinkle with seasoned salt.

Separate stuffing into small pieces; arrange on turkey. Top with onions and peas.

Beat eggs, milk and bisquick until smooth, 15 seconds in blender on high. Pour bisquick mixture into plate.

Bake until knife inserted in center comes out clean, 30-35 min. Cool 5 min. Serve with hot turkey gravy.

This bisquick recipe makes about 6 servings.

Easy Bisquick Coffee Cake

      2 c  Bisquick
    2/3 c  Milk
      2 tb Sugar
      1    Egg
Bisquick Struesel Topping:
    1/3 c  Bisquick
    1/3 c  Packed brown sugar
    1/2 ts Cinnamon
      2 tb Firm margarine or butter

Heat oven to 375F. Grease round pan, 9 x 1 1/2".

Prepare bisquick streusel topping and put aside.

Mix well the bisquick, milk, sugar, and egg. Spread in pan and sprinkle with the streusel topping.
 
Bake 18-20 minutes or until golden brown. Serve warm with whipping cream or ice cream, if desired.

Recipe makes 8 servings.
 
Bisquick Struesel Topping:
Mix the bisquick, brown sugar, cinnamon, and margarine together until crumbly.

Spiced Bisquick Walnut Cake

      6    Eggs
  2 1/2 c  Bisquick
    1/2 ts Cinnamon
      1 ts Salt
    1/2 ts Ground cloves
    3/4 ts Baking powder
      2 c  Sugar
  2 1/2 c  Chopped walnuts
  1 1/2 c  Milk
  1 1/2 c  Vegetable oil
    3/4 c  Sugar
    1/2 c  Water
      1    2" strip orange peel
      1    2" strip lemon peel
    1/2    Cinnamon stick
    1/4 c  Honey
    1/2    Lemon; juiced
    1/4 c  Walnuts
      1 ts Ground cinnamon

Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

In a large mixing bowl place the eggs, bisquick, cinnamon, salt, cloves, baking powder, sugar, walnuts, milk, and oil. Mix together until well blended.

Pour the bisquick batter into a 10"x14" baking pan and bake for about 45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

Remove the cake and let it sit for 2 hours.

In a medium saucepan place the 3/4 cup of sugar, water, orange peel, lemon peel, and cinnamon stick. Bring the ingredients to a boil and then simmer for 5 minutes.

Add the honey and bring the mixture to a boil.

Remove the pan from the heat and add the lemon juice. Stir the ingredients together and let cool. Remove the orange and lemon peels, and the cinnamon stick.

Spread the syrup over the cake. Sprinkle on the 1/4 cup of the chopped walnuts and the ground cinnamon.

Three-Cheese Biscuits (Bisquick)

  2 1/4 c  Bisquick
    1/2 c  Milk
    1/4 c  Cheddar, Cheese, shredded
    1/4 c  Monterey Jack Cheese, shredded
      1 tb Butter, melted
      1 x  Grated Parmesan
 
Mix the bisquick, milk, cheddar, and monterey jack until stiff dough forms.

Turn dough onto surface well dusted with bisquick; gently roll in mix to coat. Shape into a ball; knead 10 times. Roll out 1/2" thick and cut with 2" biscuit cutter dipped in bisquick. Place on greased cookie sheet. 

Brush tops with melted butter and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.

Bake at 450F for 8-10 minutes or until bisquick biscuits are golden brown.

Impossible Bisquick Pumpkin Pie

     16 oz Pumpkin
     12 oz Evaporated milk
      2 tb butter or margarine
      2    Egg
    3/4 c  Sugar
    1/2 c  Bisquick
  2 1/2 ts Pumpkin pie spice
      2 ts Vanilla
 
Heat oven to 350F. Grease 10 x 1 1/2". pie plate.

Place the pumpkin, evaporated milk, butter, eggs, sugar, bisquick, pumpkin pie spice, and vanilla in a mixing bowl. Beat on medium speed for about 2 minutes or until the bisquick mixture is smooth.

Pour into pie plate. Bake 50 to 55 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out clean.

This bisquick recipe serves 8.

Glaze Lemon Squares (Bisquick)

      1 c  Bisquick
      2 tb Powdered Sugar
      2 tb Firm Butter or Margarine
    3/4 c  Sugar
    1/3 c  Flaked Coconut
      1 tb Bisquick (additional)
      2    Eggs, lightly beaten
      2 tb Fresh Lemon Juice
      2 ts Grated Lemon Rind
Glaze:
    1/2 c  Powdered Sugar
      1 tb Lemon Juice

Mix the 1 cup of bisquick and powdered sugar, cut in the margarine. Press in an ungreased 8" square pan. Bake in a preheated 350oF oven for 10 minutes until light brown.

Mix together the 3/4 cup sugar, coconut, 1 tablespoon bisquick, eggs, lemon juice, lemon rind.

Pour mixture over slightly cooled baked bisquick layer.

Return to oven and bake another 25 minutes more until set. Loosen edges while warm. Cool this recipe completely and spread with the glaze

Glaze:
Beat together powdered sugar and lemon juice until smooth.
